What does "Mining Pool Information" mean?

It is very important that you send accurate information regarding the mining pool you want to use. 

When you buy hashpower, we will direct the miner at a specific mining pool you would like to use and where it will work for your crypto mining. The mining pool information consists of two, sometimes 3, different lines.

Mining pool URL

The mining pool URL defines the mining pool which will be used. As an example, please look at the Bitcoin solo mining pool https://solo.ckpool.org/  

When you choose this pool, you would send to us the line:

solo.ckpool.org:3333

You can, but don't need to send us the prefix "stratum+tcp://" in this line, as this is the same for all miners.

We will sometime check if your mininig pool data is right, but it is generally your duty to make sure the information is correct.

Wallet-Address / Mining pool ID

This one is really important. Because the mining address gives the information where your crypto will go. If you put in the wrong information, someone else or nobody will receive the cryptos you should receive for your mining efforts. It is like the number of your bank account. So please double check the wallet address and use copy/paste function. 

In some pools, such as viabtc.com and f2pool, you will have to put in your mining pool Identification, which is a mining-pool specific information you have chosen/were given in this mining pool. Please check your mining pool for the data you have.

Password

Most Mining pools do not need a specific password, it can be freely chosen. However, there may be some mining pools where you have to use a specific password. Please read you mining pool information properly to check whether this is applies for your mining pool.
